Chris Brown dances well, but that doesn't mean the kid knows what the hell a melody is. Ne-Yo dares to do something a little different, and that scares US radio because they like to place artists into "formats". It really doesn't surprise me that "Closer" isn't doing very well, but it does make me a little sad.

Ne-Yo is the better musician. Chris Brown is more photogenic, but that may fade. Ne-Yo, although still easy on the eyes, is older and has proven his songwriting, arranging, & producing chops.

You know another song of his I really love? "Because of You."

I hear you on the Michael Jackson front, too. That title gets put on Chris Brown a lot, but I feel like Ne-Yo is a more well-rounded musician.

Ne-Yo is awesome. Had the chance to catch him on tour with Alicia Keys and he proved once and for all that he is Michael Jackson's rightful heir. so smooth, so mellow, such a gentleman. i was hooked as soon as i heard "so sick" 3 years ago. Ne-Yo's here to stay.
