I didn’t come up with title of my latest New York Times feature, which ran in yesterday’s Sunday Arts & Leisure section, but I wish I had.
Herewith, I give you: “He’s Experienced, but Like a Virgin.”
The piece explores the two professional identities of Edmund White. On one hand, he’s a respected author (“experienced”), but on the other, he’s an emerging playwright (“virgin.”) How does he manage such a complicated professional balance? Well, you’ll have to read the story to find out!
