Great guesses so far! I’m very impressed that Andy got “War” – I thought would be a tough one!

The version of “Hurt” that I have on my iPod is the Johnny Cash version. I love it – it’s very haunting!

She performed it on “American Idol” (and was then promptly voted out). I keep hoping she’ll put out a full-length version.

    18. “Suga Mama” – Beyonce

  • 17 Kingotunes // Feb 13, 2009 at 7:28 pm

#18 is indeed Suga Mama. I never really listened to it too often actually but ever since it came up in the shuffle for this list, I’ve listened to it a couple of times!

Roommate Joe – how could I have forgotten that JHud sang Weekend in NE on Idol?? Actually, I googled it this afternoon and found out that she duetted with Barry Manilow himself on the song during Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party last week-end. Apparently, it brought the house down. Maybe there is still hope she’ll release a version eventually!
