Welcome to this week’s Friday Quiz, where a reader shuffles his/her iPod then lists the first lines from the first 30 songs that come up. It’s up to us to provide the artist and title of each song. Huzzah!
Basic rules: Post your answers in the comments section, don’t use internet to look up lyrics, and please don’t supply more than three  answers per day.
(Last week I was so busy that I didn’t update the post with correct answers. I’ll try to stay on top of that this time.)
This week’s quiz comes from long-time Critical Condition reader Destiny, and I thank her for that!

Nice work Trey. “Jonathan David” was the one song I thought no one would get. I’m also impressed by Stef’s knowledge of Nick Cave. However, I’m really shocked no one has gotten #12. This is fun, people.
19 Destiny Lilly // Feb 21, 2009 at 3:26 am
Oops, I realized I made a mistake. #30 should read:
She says, it helps with the lights out.
Not “he”. I hope that helps, only 8 more to go.

Updates made! And I can’t believe I didn’t recognize “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon, which is one of my favorite songs of that album AND was in my workout mix yesterday.
21 Stef // Feb 22, 2009 at 1:48 am
Nick Cave was always playing on my friend’s radio – don’t know where he got hooked, though.
Is #12 Radiohead? If so, I know it is on the Hail to the Thief album, and am thinking it might be “Scatterbrain” … that’s one of that last songs, right? Memory fuzzy … have lost touch with Radiohead freak friend.
Of course, I could be completely wrong.
22 Destiny Lilly // Feb 23, 2009 at 2:22 am
Stef,
#12 is indeed “Scatterbrian” by Radiohead from Hail to the Thief. Nice job.
