Welcome to this week’s Friday Quiz, where a reader shuffles his/her iPod then lists the first lines from the first 30 songs that come up. It’s up to us to provide the artist and title of each song. Huzzah!
Basic rules: Post your answers in the comments section, don’t use internet to look up lyrics, and please don’t supply more than three answers per day.

22. Let’s Hang On To What We’ve Got – Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
The title might just be Let’s Hang On or even Let’s Hang On (To What We’ve Got); frankly, I’ve never fully understood the whole parentheses in song titles thing.

@jmd – The Youngbloods, yes! And dammit! I was singing it in my head and the “Come on, people, now” part melded with “get together” to form “Come Together” which is an entirely different story altogether.
Can’t believe I didn’t get “One.”

34 Mark Blankenship // Feb 27, 2009 at 7:45 pm
@Jen — My friends and I once had this running joke that Lionel Richie was our archnemesis. I felt the need to share that with you.
I can’t find the Static Revenger song online. Pam, is she right about that one?
