After a seemingly-endless hiatus, Reaper is finally coming back to television tonight. Hooray!
I think I’m the only person I know who has ever even seen this show, but trust me, it kicks ass. (If you have seen it, can you back me up? Holla!) In case you missed them, here are the essays I wrote last year about why the series is so great.
I’ve heard almost nothing about Season 2. In fact, I wouldn’t even know about it if my DVR hadn’t kindly noticed it’s back on the schedule. But I just did some research, and according to the interwebs, this season brings us new character’s like Socks’ half-sister and some hottie demon that starts dating Ben. Smoking!
Will the show survive its second season, or will it fall down the writer’s strike k-hole that obliterated Dirty Sexy Money and my beloved Pushing Daisies? My fingers are crossed for success, y’all.
Update: Tara Ariano watches too, and she’s cautiously optimistic. Considering that review she links to, I’m afraid I am, too. Dear show: Please don’t drop the ball.

i LOVE this show, and my boyfriend loves it even more. SO happy its returning. They’d only just begun to really get into the overarching stuff and open up more of the “underworld” to us.

I’ve never seen the show, and quite honestly I’m afraid to. Every time I start watching a quirky show about death I fall in love with it and a few weeks later it gets taken away from me. My heart can’t bear the cancellation of another Dead Like Me or Pushing Daisies.

I love this show. I am so excited it is back. The left me hanging as to the nature of Sam’s parents and what is forthcoming with the Devil.
