		<description>Well, and then there is the whole Danny Gokey effect. Adam&#039;s runner up status was (almost) pre-determined by the fact that Danny&#039;s fans would probably not cross over to Adam. Yes, a major assumption that DG voters would return to vote in the finale, but I think they did call in for the most part.. I don&#039;t have any evidence, though.

Adam took a risk by branding himself very specifically. I think it was smart in that he became predictable without being dull to the voters, and the fact that he was professionally trained only added spice to that image and product. And, for me, that&#039;s what is MOST interesting about him as a contestant. He is the most openly informed professional to have retained a major following.</description>
