Y’all, The Critical Condition just received a substantial grant from the Art Matters Foundation. It will allow me to travel internationally to create video projects with pop culture critics from other lands. WHAT?
The most thrilling thing is that The Critical Condition is absolutely my dream project, and now an organization I respect has chosen to honor it.
Live your dreams, people! Sometimes they come true!

Congratulations! Might I suggest a trip to Japan? Japan wallows in pop culture just as much as we do, if not more!

Congrats! That’s totally awesome and well deserved.
My suggestion for your first mission? Come spread the Kelly Clarkson love in Argentina. Every time I think I’m making slow and steady progress, I meet even more people who’ve never heard of her

Congratulations! And definitely well-deserved. Pop culture seems to cause derision but your wonderful writing prove that a critical analysis of pop culture can show its impact and influence on what some would call the more “important” matters of culture and society. Can’t wait to read more, especially the views of pop culture from, well, other cultures.
