@Michael: love Pam!! I wonder if she is sexy in the way that you describe, though.

She is a seductress by default, and I don’t really think she wields the power of her sexiness with any special intent. She is a supporting character who is boiled down to pure, impish desires to satisfy herself and suck humans dry. I never really thought of her as not being trustworthy.. She’s just hedonistic and occassionally witty.

She and Eric crack my shit up, and I already think of them as the new Jack and Karen. Oh, BTW, is Eric gay? I say yes. Totally.

oh i had quite a treat
after a month away
i sat down with on demand
and watched 5 back to back true blood episodes in 2 nights
honestly it as better then 90% of the sex this gal has had
ok well 30%
anyway
watching Tara -go mentally challenged
is getting a bit annoying
and i could do without another Maryanne
shaker scene
but i was thrilled to see lafayette come back
and yeah
the last five minutes of this show
pisses me the hell off
honey
have a heart with the friggen cliff hangers
sheeesh
we’re already blood addicted
no need to torture us all week!

Serina last season was a spooky nineteenth-century farm woman, and the casting worked. But this slinky flapper seductress wading in blood stuff just hangs on her like the wrong dress.
Does anybody think this season has a madonna/whore complex regarding its women? Jessica has some dimension just by adding some sweetness to the out-of-control church girl, but Sookie’s been a dullish newlywed, Tara’s forgotten her spunk–and on the other side, the world is crawling with terrifying supernatural seductresses whose sexiness is a key to their evil–Maryanne, Pam, Serina; even Sara seduces and is not to be trusted. Soaps have done this ever since they started imitating Jane Eyre, but, honestly–isn’t it a little much?

SPOILER!!!!!

If you watched after the show through the commercials for the series, you will see it’s one of those paintball guns. Sara doesn’t shoot Jason. I absolutely adore the portrayal of Sara though. It’s absolutely thrilling to watch this actress pull that off without making her character out to be nothing more than a joke.

I wanted to strangle Tara. It doesn’t take much brain to connect the dots, but I read the books, so yeah, they are trying to time both climaxes, but the writers are getting lazy with the Bon Temps storyline.

I love Lafayette. “Satan in a beautiful f***ing Sunday hat.” Lafayette called it like it is in the last season too, during the repast for Gran’s funeral. He mentions that all the food brought to it was “bad juju.” I wonder why can Lafayette see things for what they are?

Michelle Forbes is awesome. That’s all to be said. And I’ll stop now. I could go on forever….but I won’t.

I am really enjoying Sookie now that she has gotten involved in the vampire “business.” Her relationship concerns had totally played themselves out, and she can learn more and grow more in this new milieu.. Not so shocking, really. When she is written dialogue with more than just S Moyer, well then, there is an increased probability for something interesting.

So over Serina. She and Moyer have ZERO chemistry in these flashbacks. They are so stilted. Also, the costumes don’t really help matters.. It just makes the whole scenario alien and strange, though the writers are clearly striving to make it relevant back story.

I don’t really think Jason got shot. Call me crazy, but something about that camera angle suggests there is a twist? Maybe she tranquilized him? I don’t know..

I’m with you on the portrayal of Tara and Sam in this episode. When they were both in Merlotte’s while Andy was screaming about the orgy, I kept thinking, “Sam, invite Andy into your office to talk, and then Tara will get curious and barge in, and the three of you will be able to save the day.” But for some reason that didn’t happen.

I get the feeling they’re trying too hard to time both plotlines to climax at the same time, and the Bon Temps story is suffering far more for it than the Dallas side of things.

Jessica and Hoyt are still cute, though, so at least there’s that.
