Just sayin’–these are people who even in moments of stress can’t bring themselves to swear. Honestly, if Bill had a past in prostitution, don’t you think he’d be completely crippled by it? (Not that I would trust the writers to abandon the shock value, but in terms of real-life consistency–no.) Far more likely–again, in real-life terms–that he stole or hurt someone protecting himself. I know Mormons whose sense of honestly means they wouldn’t take an extra candy bar from a vending machine if it accidentally fell out. Obviously, this is TV serial drama, and these aren’t ordinary Mormons–but a hooker background would strike me as a HUGE stretch. Just sayin’.

I also think Bill did something torrid as well. Remember his cousin who swept into town with his topless wife, RV and Laundry Mat for Lois?
It was alluded to then.
I’m also glad that I don’t have to harbor the white hot hate for Bill that has been festering since he booted Ben. He really didn’t even want to acknowledge it until everyone called him on it. I loved the “he’s not in exile- he’s at his SISTERS!” line. He did finally see his own actions were inconsistant and selfish. Offering to pay for the deceased Lost boy’s funeral was redeeming as well.
Also, Ben came off a little entitled with the lounging on the couch while Sara cleaned house around him. BEN! Get the Door!!

It’s not the first time Bill’s ‘what I did for cash’ past has been mentioned in the series, so I think we’re supposed to infer that yes, he did some ‘tuting.

I very much liked all the women’s reactions to the news of Bill’s having exiled Ben. They all did variations on the theme of ‘I can’t believe it, you hypocritical effer!’ Especially Lois. Zabriskie rocked that scene, forgoing her usual chewing.

Joey is becoming a much more interesting character this season. Less victimy. I hope it continues.

Would it be shallow of me to hope for more sweaty, shirtless Tommy? If the answer is yes, will I let that stop me? I think it won’t.

Ugh this week was horrible. Not only was there no presence of the best characters this season (Alby, Ray, JJ??), it was a clusterfuck that didn’t even go anywhere.

They shoved all that potential drama onto the casino floor, and then nothing happened. Why was Margene even there?

Yeah I coulda done without this episode.

And for the record, I don’t think “things I’m not proud of” automatically equates to amateur scat porn, but who knows”. In either case, I hope this show gets back on track next week.
